There have been many “authenticated” reports of ghosts, from all over the world. Ghosts mean different things to different people. Some, like a particular ghost is worshipped and others hated. Others see them as loved (or hated) ones coming from the dead to haunt them. Some don’t see them as “living” dead people, but some unexplained entity. Others, however, just think that these things are a lot of hooey – fictitious stories based on nothing.
There is, however, strong reason to believe that these entities are the ghosts of the dead. However, they are not the kind of ghosts that most people would immediately think about. Many reports of ghosts usually contain some element of repetition. A particular ghost may always be seen going up or down a stairway, through a hall, in a particular garden. They always seem to be doing the same thing, no matter what “obstacle” may be put in their way. This may mean something. However, there are some that have been reported to be “intelligent”. These are the ones who don’t always do the same thing repeatedly. This too may mean something.
It seems that we humans have more to us than we know. Could these ghosts be some form of remnant of us that we leave when we die? These ghosts, I think, are not “us”, after we die, but some form of remains that we discard when we die. This sort of explanation could hold. However, there are several questions. Will all of us leave this sort of remains? If we all do, why have we not seen many more ghosts? If we don’t, who does and who does not, and why? Then there are the reported cases of ghosts of people who are still alive. What about them? Are these people projecting these images of themselves unknowingly? And How?
Could ghosts be some form of atmospheric anomaly? It is that, under the right environmental circumstances, these entities appear? Several “hauntings” have been reported at particular locations. However, when these locations have been changed, like renovated, repainted or refurnished, the hauntings cease. There are also some cases in which people, not places, have been haunted. What is it about these persons that attract these entities?
I have heard other possible explanations for these entities. One such is that they could be images from some other time period – most likely the past. If this is true, it could help explain some of the ghosts that repeat the same actions over and over again. These images would be occurring in some form of “break” in our present time. These “breaks” or “holes”, could be what we are seeing – holes to the past. However, what causes these “breaks” to appear where and when they do remains a mystery.
Maybe we do continue to live on after we die. However, there is still no concrete proof of this. I believe, however, that these entities are real; they are just not what most people make them out to be.
