Two events in England caught my attention on two separate moments of time. The first was the whale swimming into the Thames and the second was the preview of James Lovelock's new book "The Revenge Of Gaia: Why The Earth Is Fighting Back ..." in the British newspaper 'The Independent'.

It was the Thames whale that inspired me to write this letter. Then - before sending it - my eyes were drawn to the article and I immediately realized that these seemingly separate events were in fact tied together. In actuality, the preview of James Lovelock's book on January 16th, 2006, and almost immediately thereafter - three days later, to be exact - the 'coming of the whale in the Thames' should rightly be seen as a significant instance of a phenomenon which is known as Carl Jung's 'synchronicity' with far-reaching ramifications not just for Londoners and the British, but peoples across the Earth.

As someone who lives in Suriname the 'coming of the whale in the Thames' reminds me of a watershed event in colonial history of our region, particularly from the perspective of indigenous peoples: and that is, the coming of the 'conquistadors' to the Americas. Looking through the eyes of the Amerindians in that period of time - and using it as a metaphor - 'all of a sudden' a 'big fish' was seen 'swimming' from the sea into the river. One can then imagine how everyone might have flocked in curiosity along the shores of the river and wondered what message this wondrous 'fish' had in store for them. This however was the first ship, which at the end of the 15th century entered this river, and in historical accounts we are given the horrific message these ships brought. (1) We know that the coming of the ships was not an accidental event but served a specific purpose, being the focused attention of the minds that sent the ships on this mission.

Quite differently in many ways, but at the same time surprisingly similar, the coming of the whale, swimming from the sea into the River Thames, was not an accidental event as well. Seen through the eyes of those who on a heart level feel that whales, dolphins and all living creatures are wondrous beings with unique intelligences and rights to their own worlds of existence, this whale certainly came with a mission. What message did this whale have in store for us humans? Considering its heart-warming behaviour - putting herself at our mercy - it definitely was a message of Love and Compassion, diametrically opposed to the message the 'fish-ship' brought to the American peoples. As a matter of fact we have already received, in my opinion, the message in the bottle, so to speak, that came encrypted with the whale

Through scientific evidence and sources, James Lovelock conceived a revolutionary scientific model for the Earth in the 1970's, called the 'Gaia Hypothesis'. He defines Gaia as "a complex entity involving the Earth's biosphere, atmosphere, oceans, and soil; the totality constituting a feedback or cybernetic system which seeks an optimal physical and chemical environment for life on this planet." This definition implies that through Gaia, the Earth has the capacity to sustain in a holistic and durable way the maintenance of relatively constant conditions - favourable for the many forms of life on her - by means of self-regulating ecosystems and behaves as if it were a single living super-organism, adjusting to the impacts of humanity. "The Gaia hypothesis", he says, "is an alternative to that pessimistic view which sees nature as a primitive force to be subdued and conquered." ... "If we see the world as a super-organism of which we are a part - not the owner, nor the tenant, not even a passenger - we could have a long time ahead of us and our species might survive for its 'allotted span'. It all depends on you and me."

But then - according to the preview of his new book - he 30 years later concludes, that humanity has messed things up and has destroyed vital self-regulating ecosystems of the Earth beyond the 'point of no return', putting herself (our civilization) irreversibly on a collision course with her own destiny. He actually says: "The climate centers around the world, which are the equivalent of the pathology lab of a hospital, have reported the Earth's physical condition, and the climate specialists see it as seriously ill, and soon to pass into a morbid fever that may last as long as 100,000 years. I have to tell you, as members of the Earth's family and an intimate part of it, that you and especially civilization are in grave danger." ... "We have given Gaia a fever and soon her condition will worsen to a state like a coma. She has been there before and recovered, but it took more than 100,000 years. We are responsible and will suffer the consequences: as the century progresses, the temperature will rise 8 degrees centigrade in temperate regions and 5 degrees in the tropics. Much of the tropical land mass will become scrub and desert, and will no longer serve for regulation; this adds to the 40 per cent of the Earth's surface we have depleted to feed ourselves." ... "We are in a fool's climate, accidentally kept cool by smoke, and before this century is over billions of us will die and the few breeding pairs of people that survive will be in the Arctic where the climate remains tolerable." ... "The worst will happen and survivors will have to adapt to a hell of a climate." ... "We should be the heart and mind of the Earth, not its malady. So let us be brave and cease thinking of human needs and rights alone, and see that we have harmed the living Earth and need to make our peace with Gaia. We must do it while we are still strong enough to negotiate, and not a broken rabble led by brutal warlords. Most of all, we should remember that we are a part of it, and it is indeed our home." The title of the book suggests that Gaia has meanwhile taken emergency measures to put a stop to this planetary 'sickness', to purge the 'pathogens' out of her body and to create a new state of equilibrium needed to sustain life again in a durable way.

It is amazing to establish the fact how these far-sighted views coincide with perfect synchronicity to a message, entitled "I Am Dying", received on August 31st, 2005, from the Earth Mother herself, using the name of 'Gay-AH'-mah'(2), through the body of Debbie Wright, a trance medium in Ashtar's Trinity, U.S.A. (http://www.sanandaseagles.com). For Londoners and the British, it is most significant that the Earth Mother unambiguously links her destiny with the destiny of the whales in the oceans, saying that if the last whale dies, she will die, and with her, all her children. Allow me now to guide you through the most poignant statements within Gay-AH'-mah's message in order for her to speak directly to the people of your country, and to all peoples of the world as well.

"I would like to introduce myself. You may call me Gay-AH'-mah." ... "You might say that I am the one that you do not wish to fool [Mother Nature] ..." ... "Guess where I get MY life from ... the one you call Wisdom / Mother God. She is MY mother, and I am YOUR mother ... at least the mother of your bodies ..." ... "I am dying ... and that was not supposed to happen. Only when my children ... and I mean ALL of my children ... can embrace 'me' as 'themselves', can I once again flourish in health. Look at me ... do you think I wish to be incinerated in order to purify all the wrong that has been done? I've given all of you one last chance, but PLEASE do not say that I have to live with the scars that have been inflicted upon me. Do not feel like you have a RIGHT to pray that I STOP the changes that inflict even MORE damage on me and on my children. The waste that gets pumped out of the oceans [referring to oil derricks] was killing life that you don't even consider to be 'life'. Shall I give you clarity? One machine on a platform in a sea pumping oil kills MILLIONS of life forms A DAY ... thus ends the cycle, because when you can't even perceive these life forms with the naked eye, to you they don't exist, but to other life forms it's their food. “

“…You kill off their food; you kill off them. You kill off them; you kill off the next life form that feeds on them. You kill off them ... and it continues on. And you think you're smart enough to stop it by killing off what you deem to be 'predators'? Mankind has become the greatest predator in history. Is that something to be proud of? You prey on life forms that you don't even know you're annihilating! And every extinction is another mortal wound to 'me'. An amputation. Enjoy your fingers, your toes, you arms, and your legs. If I had a body like you, right now I would be down to a head with a trunk, nothing more. I wouldn't even have a nose or ears or eyelids. It's got to stop! If it can stop, I can regenerate." ... "Forget about thinking that you have to go back through and correct the past, just stop the future killings! The beasts ... they were the most intelligent beasts on the face of 'me' ... they're dying, they are almost gone, and humanity looks stupid compared to them. As soon as they ARE gone, that is when I will give up. And they are the ones you know of as the whales. When the last one leaves ... I will die."

[softly crying] ... "Respect all life upon me because it is nothing but an extension of 'me'." ... "Your bodies have certain specific chemicals within them that make you function. If you lose some of these chemicals, you become unbalanced. Each one of my life forms is one of my chemicals ... and I am very out of balance right now. And when too much is being done to me in one place, that can cause irreparable harm, then and only then do I have a right to unleash what you perceive to be my fury, when in actuality, it's nothing more than a defensive action to preserve all life, not just mine."

Gay-AH'-mah: "Helped? It stopped something from going on that has been causing too much harm, and it wasn't just in that one place. You haven't even begun to hear of the damage that was done. I believe you call them `oil derricks', that now no longer exist. Unfortunately, it polluted the water and more of the fish had to die. Fortunately, there are migration patterns that most of these aquatic creatures follow that caused them to be out of the area at the time. <grin> There were other creatures that ... they do not 'hear', they feel motion in their brains ... and the signals were given to them to leave before they were meant to leave." ... "I'm alive. I'm a living, breathing entity that gives you the ability to live while you're a part of me." ... "There are too many that take advantage of me on a daily basis, that refuse to even acknowledge that I'm alive! If I'm not alive, how do they live? The stupidity must stop. The ignorance must stop. The matricide must stop. If 'I' die, we all die together. And the only clue I can give you is ... watch the whales. The last whale that dies signals your death and the death of everyone that is a part of me. So does that tell you where you should start?" ...

[Question about cleaning the bodies of water by means of crystals, programmed with specific energies. (3)]

Gay-AH'-mah: "If that is your intention, that is all you need. As you throw the crystals in the water, say my name ... Gay-AH'-mah. You want to program a rock to do something for you? Say my name. You wish your garden to flourish? Say my name. Understand? If you spread the word and you tell people to take these crystals, to put them into the oceans and the seas, to start bringing back life that is failing, tell them ... as they put the crystals in the water to say my name 3 times aloud. That will tell the crystals EXACTLY what they're there to do. EXACTLY! Understand?"

Janisel: The people that we deal with all know that you are a living Being. It seems to be the un-awakened who think of you as nothing more than as a hunk of real estate.

Gay-AH'-mah: "Oh, there you are wrong. They KNOW it is my waste that they are mining; they just don't like being reminded." ... "But things can regenerate; that is what is so lovely about this life is, once the intention is to stop repeating bad behaviors, things can change for the better. They CAN regenerate. I can grow fingers and toes and arms and legs and ears and a nose and eyelids, but it has to stop. I know you will never be able to stop them 'all', but at least if I have a balance of those that have stopped as opposed to those who haven't stopped, then there's still that fighting chance." ... "You have leaders in your offices here [U.S.A.], in this portion of 'me', that refuse to even go discuss ME at all! And they are the ones that are doing the greatest portion of the damage." ... "All I ask is to do SOMETHING! Because when you put action into doing something, that is that 'every little bit' that helps! THAT is a voice, a voice crying out in the madness, saying "Excuse me, you're killing my mother, and I refuse to participate!" ... "I have sat back and waited for the help, waited for the voices. And, yes, there are a 'few', there are those few voices that have kept me alive for this long!"

Janisel: Is Greenpeace effective?

Gay-AH'-mah: "Yes, of course. If nothing else, they have saved the whales up until now. They are a laughing stock, yet they continue on. They have been BOMBED and they continue on. All I ask is that you use your voice in whatever manner possible. Spread the word, spread the crystals, save the last whales! Those are the only sign I can give you." ... "Think of the things that you do, whether they be large or whether they be small, that contribute to what has been happening, what you are here to stop: The death of a planet. Can you understand that? The death of a planet ... ONCE AGAIN in this solar system!" ... "Look at your solar system. THIS IS GOING TO BE THE THIRD DEAD PLANET IN THIS SOLAR SYSTEM. How much longer can it withstand that? How many more planets can die before you learn? That's why your sun is so out of balance right now ... it can't sustain too many more dead planets. That's what a solar system is, it is an ecosystem just like the ecosystem in the ocean that I told you is being destroyed, and you're allowing it to happen again." ... "STOP THE PROBLEM ... I'M BEGGING!!! Whether you think it is an 'efficient' way to stop the problem or not, it does not matter, but it has to stop." [crying] ... "The only thing you need to concern yourself with is, I have been sustaining life here for longer than even your scientists want to imagine, and it's only been in the last 100 years, just the last 100 years that the death throes have been inflicted. That's only 100 years that you have to stop." ... "But I have no 'wrath', except for the severely stupid, and I can take no human life unless their Contract is up and they've been put there 'because' it's going to happen. But, trust me, I teach wonderful lessons, and it's the lessons you're not soon to forget because I DO demand respect. You can hate me, you can love me ... but you MUST respect me because I keep you alive, and you're living because 'I' am alive. And if you kill me you're committing suicide, it's that simple. Think they'll understand THAT one? I do not like to make a spectacle of myself, and I apologize profusely for coming in shortly after me having to readjust (4), but please do not judge 'me' for what 'you' have chosen to remain stupid over. When something like that hits, it's because there's something worse that was there and it needed to be cleaned. That's all you need to know. Whether you trust it or not is completely up to you, but you MUST understand ... the last whale dies, so does the solar system."(5)

This, in essence, is in my understanding the 'message in the bottle' the Thames whale - sent by Gay-AH'-mah on this mission - delivered on her behalf: a message of Love and Compassion from a mother-in-anguish to her children. It tells us how within a period of 100 years Mother Nature is being destroyed to extinction; very much the same horrific story of the destruction of human life in the Americas in the 16th century within a period of 50 years. With Gay-AH'-mah's message in the background, the whale - in offering her life - lovingly and graciously assisted us to produce the energies of Love and Compassion in return, which is the driving force we dearly need to create on a collective level the world we all envision in our dreams; the very same dream Martin Luther King revealed in his speech given in august 1963 after the March on Washington. For it indeed are the energies of Love and Compassion which are able to break down the barriers between humans of all kinds, between humanity and the Earth and between humanity and Nature. Despite all what has been done by the beautiful souls to keep the whale in the Thames alive, she died.

This can be seen as a strong warning to all earth-loving people worldwide that there can be no happy denouement to this story while the 'eco-cide' continues. The message was delivered just after a summery of James Lovelock's recent views was made public, to undoubtedly acknowledge his outstanding merits in bringing his 'Gaia Hypothesis' within modern mainstream human civilization - profiling himself as a major spokesman for her - and indirectly confirming his red alert warning, expressed in his recent views, to be prepared for the worst. For Mother Earth is not inclined to allow herself and her children to be led like a lamb to the slaughter, as happened with the Amerindians. Other information given through Debbie Wright - following naturally from Gay-AH'-mah's significant statement that it is not nice to mess with Mother Nature - indeed reveals that with the tsunami, which took place in the Indian Ocean in December 2004, the earth changes have been set in motion in all seriousness, rounds after rounds, cleansing the areas concerned of deeply rooted, anchored negative energies. Another round of major proportions is predicted to take place very soon in Central America. For specific reasons we may witness - in this specific case - the rising of islands. (6)

We indeed should be prepared for the worst to take place and the tribulations it will bring for the coming period of time. Great ones however have said: "As the dying proceeds, so does the birthing. Just as in life things pass away in their time, so too, does new life come and bring the promise of a new day. Yesterday and tomorrow are defined by the present moment, the bead on the string that moves steadily toward its destiny. There will be ones who are the bringers of dawn and after the twilight fades and the world is engulfed in darkness, they will come again with the Light, to wipe away the tears and bring peace."
